EPOCH of Melrose awarded accreditation from the Joint Commission

EPOCH Senior Healthcare of Melrose has earned The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval® for Nursing Care Center Accreditation.

EPOCH Senior Healthcare of Melrose has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval® for Nursing Care Center Accreditation for continuous compliance with its performance standards. The Gold Seal of Approval® reflects an organization’s commitment to providing safe and effective patient and resident care.

To receive the accreditation, EPOCH of Melrose underwent a rigorous on-site survey in May 2015 during which a team of Joint Commission expert surveyors evaluated compliance with nursing care center standards related to several areas, including assistance with activities of daily living, coordination of care, and staff education and training. Surveyors also conducted on-site observations and interviews.

The Joint Commission is the premier health care quality improvement and accrediting body in the nation. “We’re so pleased to receive this accreditation,” Gail Infurna, admissions director, said. “Our entire team works hard to ensure our residents receive the utmost quality of care and that our community is fully compliant with nationwide standards.”
