Why: Lewy Body Dementia (LBD) is a largely under-diagnosed disease that affects over 1.3 Million Americans. Fundraising dollars are needed to spread awareness and fund research to one day find a cure. An accurate diagnosis is needed to guide treatment. Medical management of Lewy body dementia is complex because of increased sensitivity to many drugs. Some medications prescribed for Alzheimer's and Parkinson's symptoms can adversely affect people with LBD.

About the Allan D. Morrison 5K Run/Walk:
This race was founded in an effort to honor my father, Allan ("Al") D. Morrison, an LBD patient. I quickly connected with over one dozen families who shared the same journey as Al, and same passion for awareness as mine. We banded together to triple our inaugural year goal, raising over $33,000, making history within the LBD community and allowing badly needed research to continue. We could not have done it without the love and support of all of you. Please help us reach out 2010 fundraising goal of $50,000 by considering participating in one of three ways:
