Preventing Bullying: What Parents Need to Know

While most bullying prevention programs take place in the school environment, the role of parents is also key to preventing and stopping bullying. This interactive training provides parents with the knowledge, tools and resources to effectively recognize and respond to bullying, whether your child is the bully, the target or a bystander to bullying. Topics addressed include:

  • Forms of bullying, including cyber-bullying
  • The effects of bullying on bullies and targets
  • Parenting styles that produce or prevent bullying
  • What to do if your child is that bully, target or bystander
  • Resources for further help and information

This is a parent only program.  Staff training has already occurred and student programs will occur this fall.
