Volunteering: Making it Work for You!

“Volunteering – Marking it Work for You!” is a free workshop for adults interested in learning about the benefits of volunteering.

Whether you are thinking of giving back to the community or are unemployed and looking to bridge the gap between jobs by working in a skills-based volunteer position, participants will explore the benefits of strategic volunteering in a formal, professional capacity at a non-profit organization.

Learn about how Malden resident Don Chadis is strategically volunteering to gain valuable experience for his next job.  Workshop leader and Volunteer Program Manager Karen McGuire will share the strategies she uses when matching adults age 55 and older to professional, skills-based volunteer positions at area non-profits.
