Free Flu Shot Clinic Coming To Melrose This Week
Residents have an opportunity to be protected from one of the fall's most prominent viruses.
MELROSE, MA — The city’s Health and Human Services is holding a free flu shot vaccination clinic this week.
The clinic is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Memorial Hall on 590 Main St. from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Residents are encouraged to register ahead of time, but walk-ins will also be welcome, according to the city.
The clinic comes as Melrose Health and Human Services continues its annual effort to make flu vaccinations available to residents ahead of the fall and winter months. The department held three community flu clinics last year, including two at Memorial Hall.

During those clinics, identification and insurance cards were recommended, while high-dose vaccines were available to residents aged 65 and older while supplies lasted. Residents under 18 were required to be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The city has not specified whether those same requirements and vaccine options will apply to Tuesday’s clinic.
Residents can register for the clinic through the city’s online vaccine registration portal.
