The GOP stands for nothing but greed
The only thing consistent about their platform is their belief that corporations are people
The GOP used to be the party of states' rights. Now Trump is saying his authority is total.
The GOP claimed to be "pro-life"*, while Trump asked "Why not let the virus wash over America?" (Answer: Even more lives would've been lost than by his incompetence).
"Drain the swamp"? Trump fired oversight of the $2 trillion stimulus and now millionaires are going to be getting millions in tax breaks compared to the paltry money earned by those who really need it.

Representative democracy? Trump admitted that mail-in voting would kill the GOP and now he's refusing to bail out the USPS, while still allowing real estate developers like himself and the Kushners to get bail out money, while Jared Kushner continues to evict people during a pandemic.
The list of GOP hypocrisy goes on and on and it's been this way for 100 years, when Herbert Hoover's greed and incompetence led us into the Great Depression.

America was saved by FDR's New Deal.
Boomers reaped the benefits of FDR's socialism, growing up in a more equitable society with the guaranteed safety nets of social security (which Republicans have been trying to privatize at least since George W. Bush), medicare and medicaid (which Trump wants to cut until McConnell whispers "We're only supposed to talk about that in private"), food stamps (Trump tried to kick 700,000 people off of food stamps while we were entering this pandemic), etc. etc.
In '68, Republicans saw their party was doomed, because the poor and middle class were coalescing against the rich. So they made things racial. Nixon's "tough on crime" was an excuse to lock up black and brown Americans, just like Reagan's idea of the welfare queen was a black woman and his "war on drugs" also disproportionately affected black and brown people even though white people use drugs at the same rates.
While all this happened, the rich got richer than the rest of us.
Now we can see where all of this has led us: a party that was brought into power by gerrymandering, suppressing the vote, and by allowing foreign interference, continues to benefit the rich while the poor, and particular brown and black communities, are the most ravaged by the virus.
Unless you're a millionaire who cares not a wit for anyone but yourself, why are you still voting for the GOP?
*"pro-life" was always a crock of sh*t. Reagan supported expanded abortion access when he was governor in California, until Republican greed for more money opened their pocked for evangelicals.
