Letter: Medeiros Solano thanks City Employees

AN OPEN LETTER TO THE CITY OF MELROSE EMPLOYEES:

THANK YOU.

As we head into this long Labor Day weekend, I want to take a moment to publicly thank our city employees for all they do.

You are the ones our residents see and interact with first. You are the ones who set the tone and can make or break the day a resident has. You are the ones who keep the wheels turning. You are the ones who keep our streets clean, safe and in good repair. You are the ones who stand ready to rescue us in times of trouble. You are the ones who have the care and custody of our children. You are the ones who hold their futures in your hands.

I have lofty goals as a candidate for mayor, which can only be achieved with your help and assistance. If elected I will do my best to provide a healthy, welcoming environment in which you feel heard and appreciated.

I hope we have the chance to work together for a better Melrose.
