Local Fitness Together owner and triathlete Brendan Stapleton is raising funds and running the Boston Marathon for Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Local scientists with Eye and Ear are driven to find cures for blindness, deafness and diseases to the head and neck. Stapleton has run the marathon previously including in 2013 during the marathon bombing. The Eye and Ear team has helped thousands of people every year, including friends and family of Brendan and his wife Lauren.
As a health and wellness leader, Stapleton believes in helping others in need and often picks charities that he is passionate about and can help bring exposure. Mr. Stapleton mentioned some of his motivation, ‘I like to run, I like to help people and raising money to do both is a gift to me and hopefully it can impact others to do the same.’ His goal is to raise $10,000 through the CrowdRise platform at www.crowdrise.com/teameyeandear2017/fundraiser/brendanstapleton.
