Man Wakes Up Without Things - Or The Girl: Melrose Police Log

MELROSE, MA — In between the dozens of storm-related calls Friday and Saturday involving downed trees, branches, and wires, Melrose Police received hundreds of other calls during the week of Feb. 26. Here are some excerpts from the police log. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
Monday, Feb. 26
12:01 a.m. - Caller reported he woke up at Town Line Inn and was missing some items. The girl he had over was also missing. He didn't want charges pressed, but was upset his items were missing.

5:38 a.m. - Caller says person fell asleep with his car running at the light at on Fellsway.
Tuesday, Feb. 27

7:35 a.m. - A crew shut down Laurel Street without permission. The crew was shut down.
3:58 p.m. - A person driving by reports two young children, about 2 and 4, were walking in the street on Franklin and taking into a house by a man. Police spoke to the man, who was the children's father.
7:46 p.m. - A stolen vehicle out of Wakefield crashed into a tree at First Street and Larrabee Street. Melrose K9 units were called in to track the suspect, who fled. Wakefield Police located the suspect. Melrose man Daniel Walsh of Whitman Ave. summonsed on charges of receiving stolen property, motor vehicle (subsequent offense;) leaving scene of property damage; operating motor vehicle with suspended license (subsequent offense.)
11:31 p.m. - Neighbor reported disturbance of woman banging on door of Nason Drive apartment unit. Resident said it a "Pam" from fourth floor. Police unable to locate.
Thursday, March 1
11:48 a.m. - Quincy man, 39, arrested for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. He was allegedly speeding at 33 miles per hour in a 20 on the Fellsway.
Friday, March 2
12:28 a.m. - Caller reports female might be in emotional distress near D'Amici's. All is well, she was just exercising.
2:47 a.m. - A man was passed out behind wheel at intersection of Main and West Foster. Man says he had long day at work, so he parked and was given a ride home.
