Masked Man Robs Melrose Bank At Gunpoint: Police

MELROSE, MA — Officers are searching for a masked man who robbed Melrose Bank at gunpoint late Friday afternoon.

Police said the man stuck up a bank teller in the Melrose Bank at 638 Main St. at about 4:40 p.m. The man allegedly climbed on the counter and demanded money before making off with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man, pictured above, was wearing a ski mask, sunglasses, and a light-colored jacket. He is described as a thin white or light-skinned black man, about 5 feet 8 inches tall.

Police are investigating.
