Megin Hemmerling Appointed Director of Assisted Living Services

Chelsea Jewish Lifecare (CJL), is pleased to announce that Megin Hemmerling has been appointed Director of Assisted Living Services.

In this new role, Ms. Hemmerling, a long time Melrose resident, will oversee all areas of operations for the assisted living properties, which are located on the Peabody, Chelsea and Longmeadow campuses.

“We are so pleased to recognize Megin Hermmerling’s contributions to our organization, “ said Adam Berman, President of Chelsea Jewish Lifecare. “She has been a vital part of our team. With the continued growth and expansion of Chelsea Jewish Lifecare, it’s important to have Megin supervise all aspects of our assisted livings. Her promotion is extremely well-deserved.”

In addition to her new responsibilities, Megin will continue as the Executive Director of Harriet and Ralph Kaplan Estates, CJL’s assisted living residence in Peabody. She joined Chelsea Jewish Lifecare in 2014, when CJL acquired Aviv Centers for Living, which was previously known as Jewish Rehabilitation Center (JRC). Megin served as Director of Jewish Rehabilitation Services at JRC for ten years.

Ms. Hemmerling holds a Master of Science in Management of Aging Services/Gerontology from University of Massachusetts Boston and a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from University of New Hampshire.
