Melrose Firefighters Promoted to Captain, Lieutenant
James Winslow is the Melrose Fire Department's newest Captain and Kenneth Macintosh is it's newest Lieutenant.

Mayor Rob Dolan promoted Lt. James Winslow to Fire Captain and Firefighter Kenneth Macintosh to Fire Lieutenant in a brief swearing-in ceremony in the Aldermanic Chamber last week, the mayor's office announced in a press release.
"I am very pleased to see both these men attain leadership positions in the ," Dolan said in the release. "They bring years of experience and a wealth of knowledge to the job, and I know they will serve the people of Melrose well."
Winslow, a second-generation firefighter, joined the Melrose Fire Department in July 1983 and was promoted to Fire Lieutenant in 2002. He is a veteran of the U.S. Navy. Macintosh was appointed a firefighter in July 2007 and is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
