Melrose Food Drive Asking For Peanut Butter And Jelly Jars

Melrose residents can bring donations to the MelroseKind porch located at 249 Grove Street.

MELROSE, MA – Melrose community members can support two local food pantries and the residents they serve by donating jars of peanut butter and jelly to MelroseKind, a non-profit focused on kindness in the community.

“Our goal is to stock the shelves of our local pantries with these essential items to provide a bit of kindness to the bellies of those in need,” said MelroseKind founder Maribeth Darwin in a news release.

All donations will go to A Servant’s Head Food Pantry and Pantry of Hope.

Residents can drop off peanut butter and jelly jars, as well as other nut and seed butters, to the MelroseKind porch located at 249 Grove Street until March 31.

“Peanut butter is high in protein, does not require refrigeration, and has a great shelf life. It is a perfect food for tough times,” said Darwin.
