UPDATE: Melrose Students Return to Class After Threat
This is the second bomb threat called into Melrose High School this week.

MELROSE, MA—The city of Melrose announced Thursday that Melrose High School received another bomb threat, and that students have since returned to class.
According to a message from Melrose Public Schools, the school district does not believe that there was a significant risk. MHS and Melrose Middle School were sheltered in place as a result of the threat.
The school received a call at 8:51 a.m. and police cleared the building at around 9:30 a.m.

"Keeping to our normal routine is the best way to prevent such events in the future and keep us safe," the message wrote."Please reassure your students that we are doing everything we can to make sure that school is safe. Remember that our feeling of safety is also important. We have asked staff to be particularly aware of students having difficulties."
The schools were one of more than 20 schools to receive a threat Thursday. This is also the second bomb threat called in to MHS this week.

"This new situation of messages to schools is extremely disruptive and will be taken seriously by the police. If anyone has any information on the source of these messages, please contact us immediately," the message wrote.
