Monday, Dec. 5

10:30 a.m. Anonymous call relayed to police about a person cutting up a tree and planting a tree on public property in the past at Penney Road and Dexter Road.

5:09 p.m. called for a cruiser to block traffic on Essex Street for a gas leak.

6:44 p.m. Domestic disturbance on Upham Street.

8:18 p.m. Caller reported damage to his vehicle on Forest Street.

9:11 p.m. Caller reports someone left two  television sets near her property on Main Street at Morgan Street. Officer reported no TVs, but a couch.

Tuesday, Dec. 6

9:57 a.m. Complaint of a broken window on Swains Pond Avenue.

2:16 p.m. Report from Whitwell Street of stolen copper.

5:26 p.m. Caller reports larceny of cigarettes from Melrose Mobil.

Wednesday, Dec. 7

12:59 p.m. Theft of prescription drugs reported from Bay State Road.

6:01 p.m. Caller reports past domestic disturbance from Windsor Street. Steven Scutti, 49, 68 Windsor St., Melrose was arrested on the charge of domestic assault and battery.

Thursday, Dec. 8

4:20 p.m. Caller reports suspicious man saying he works for Just Energy and he would like to come in to her house to check old bills. She refused to open the door. Police reported that Just Energy had checked into the station for solicitation earlier in the day, per Melrose Police policy. Worker stated he could not hear woman through door and asked her to open door.

7:49 p.m. Caller reports someone looking in cars on Nason Drive with a flashlight. Officer reports owner of a vehicle is fixing a flat.

10:48 p.m. Caller from Brazil Street reports vandalism, window broken.

Friday, Dec. 9

8:37 a.m. Report that someone broken into storage area on Meridian Street overnight.

9:20 a.m. Caller reporting car broken into over night at Melrose Towers Condominiums on Melrose Street.

11:38 a.m. Caller states guns found in foreclosed home on Grandview Avenue.
