9:13 a.m. Unwanted guest on Windsor Street.

10:19 a.m. Sex offenses reported at . Melrose Police Lt. Mark DeCroteau said the investigation involves an incident that took place at the high school between some students and is under investigation. He declined to comment further.

1 p.m. Report of student in possession of a knife on his belt at Melrose High School. DeCroteau said the knife was used or displayed by the student, who was suspended for possession of the knife on school grounds.

2:54 p.m. Caller reports injured raccoon on Renwick Road sidewalk. City removed raccoon.

10:08 p.m. Vehicle stop on Lebanon Street at Grove Street. Car towed,  20-year-old Cambridge woman issues a summons for driving with a suspended license, unregistered motor vehicle, and speeding.

Tuesday, Nov. 15

8:07 p.m. Fire alarms going off in building on Island Hill Avenue. Burnt food.

9:38 p.m. Caller reports that a red SUV struck her vehicle at Upham Street and Highview Avenue and kept going.

9:38 p.m. Caller on Rowe Street reports family member trying to break down front door.

Wednesday, Nov. 16

11:02 a.m. Report from of stolen lottery tickets.

2:13 p.m. Possible identity theft reported from Main Street.

7:14 p.m. Caller from Hillside Avenue reports someone opened up an account on her credit card.

8:25 p.m. Intoxicated man at Beech Avenue at Lebanon Street. A 45-year-old Everett man was placed in protective custody.

10:39 p.m. Milton Police requests arrest of Melrose man on domestic assault and battery charge. Paul E. Denish, 50, 37 Brazil St., Melrose, was arrested by Melrose Police on a warrant arrest.

Thursday, Nov. 17

11:55 a.m. Walk-in report of recent hit and run vehicle crash on West Wyoming Avenue.

12:48 p.m. Officer stops a street sweeper on Rowe Street, warns city contractor about going the wrong way on a one-way street.

5:15 p.m. Report of bike stolen from Melrose Street.

6:14 p.m. Erratic driving reported at Ravine Road at Longfellow Road. A 48-year-old Melrose man was issued a summons on the charge of a third offense of OUI liquor.

Friday, Nov. 18

11:43 a.m. Shoplifter at on Essex Street.

4:40 p.m. Caller request for medical assistance on a possible overdose. DeCroteau said it was an apparent overdose and the person was treated and transported to the hospital. He declined to comment on the substance involved in the overdose or on any further details citing an investigation.

Saturday, Nov. 19

12:10 p.m. Mobil gas station clerk and stated a white boy about 12 years old, wearing a grat sweatshirt and blue jeans just stole a set of headphones. Officer reports boy taken to his family.

2:20 p.m. Raccoon that was apparently sick and or injured and showing aggression at . The city’s animal control officer was able to contain the raccoon, DeCroteau said, and bring it to a secluded area behind the cemetery, where with the assistance of a Melrose Police officer the animal was euthanized.

4:38 p.m. Possible stolen vehicle reported from .

Sunday, Nov. 20

8:58 p.m. Report of unwanted guest on Main Street.

10:31 p.m. Report of a man sleeping in his car at on the Lynn Fells Parkway.  DeCroteau said an officer spoke to the man outside the vehicle and that the man “appeared to be on the under the influence of something.” Based on the interview and observations, “plus some stuff that was in plain view within the vehicle,” DeCroteau said, the 35-year-old Reading man was issued a summons on charges of a subsequent offense of possession a Class A drug, subsequent offense of possession of a Class C drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, and drug violation near a school or park. DeCroteau declined to comment on the exact drugs, although he said that Class A drugs are usually opiates and Class C is usually cocaine.
