Middlesex Sheriff Peter Koutoujian dropped by Thursday to discuss some things.

The following is from the Middlesex Sheriff's Office:
Middlesex Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian addressed the Melrose Rotary Club on Thursday, June 7, 2018 at Memorial Hall, discussing innovative initiatives the Middlesex Sheriff’s Office has launched for incarcerated military Veterans with the Housing Unit for Military Veterans (HUMV) and young adult offenders – ages 18-24 – with the People Achieving Change Together (P.A.C.T.) Program. HUMV is the only such program of its kind in the Commonwealth, while Middlesex is the first local jail in the nation to work with the Vera Institute of Justice on a young offender unit. The Sheriff also addressed efforts to help those suffering from substance use disorders with the MSO’s Medication Assisted Treatment And Directed Opioid Recovery – or MATADOR – Program.
