Melrose Volunteer Event for Cradles to Crayons
Check out the two ways to help out a great cause.

The following was submitted by Jen McAndrew:
The McAndrew family is pleased to sponsor a Melrose-wide Community Collection and Volunteer Event to benefit Cradles to Crayons. Cradles to Crayons is a non-profit organization that collects and distributes clothing and other essential items to children and families in need across Massachusetts. They accept donations of a wide range of clothing and goods that are used by children of all ages, from infants to age 12. Items may be new or used in good condition (no rips or stains). Clothes, shoes, rain boots, jackets, books, strollers, and other baby gear (if less than 5 years old) are all needed! So look through those closets, clean out those drawers and bins, and drop off your items!

1. Donate your quality children’s items to the large, marked collection bin outside the Roosevelt School (Brunswick Street) now through Saturday, May 19, 2018! Please note that the outdoor "Pack-Rat" collection bin is on the front grassy area at the Brunswick Street side of the school. Here is a list of needed items: https://www.cradlestocrayons.org/boston/take-action/donate-goods/items-we-accept/.
2. Join us on the morning of Saturday, May 19 from 9:00-11:00 am in the Roosevelt School Cafeteria to sort and package the items collected. You may also bring your items at this time. So that we can keep a count of volunteers, we ask that you sign up to volunteer by emailing Chris Bavaro at Cradles to Crayons at cbavaro@cradlestocrayons.org. Children 6 and older are welcome to help too! We are looking for 40 volunteers!
