The Memory Laners

TheMemory Laners performed at The Milano Senior Center in Melrose yesterday.

As summer nears its end, an audience of approximately 80 at The Milano Senior Center was treated to an indoor Barbecue lunch and songs of yesteryear performed by The Memory Laners.

Entertainment included songs from Roy Orbison, The Temptations, The Righteous Brothers, Elis Presley, The Platters, ,Sonny and Cher and many others.

There was also a special tribute to The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, who recently passed away of pancreatic cancer.

Trish McLaughlin dedicated a portion of the show to Aretha Franklin by performing one of Franklin's songs.

Closing out the show, another tribute, this time to all branches of military service. The group asked its audience to stand and sing with them, "God Bess the U.S. A."
