Monica Medeiros Serves with Distinction

Monica Medeiros has served as an elected official, in different capacities, over a decade. Beginning with the Melrose School Committee, Monica, a product of local education diligently addressed issues that affected students, parents and teachers. After accomplishing her goals on the School Committee, she sought the Ward Alderman’s office. While serving in that capacity, she brought the same conscientiousness and tenacity that she demonstrated in her previous role.

Monica is a lifelong resident of Melrose whose first priority has always been for her neighbors. Whether the concern is cleaning up trash, responsibly using tax dollars, or holding the line on water and sewage rates, Monica has always had our best interests at heart. The depth of understanding about every issue and willingness to ask difficult questions during Board meetings evidences that. Furthermore, Monica always listens to concerns brought before her, with compassion and astuteness.

Our city needs someone who really cares about its long-term health. Someone who will consider how each decision they make will affect the city now and in the future. Still, a lot can happen that is outside of our control. I think that Monica’s talent and work ethic will help provide secure grounding. So that as we move forward, we will have a strong leader to help us navigate turbulent times.

The voters should elect Monica Medeiros the next Mayor of Melrose on Tuesday, September 17th and again at the General election on November 5th.
