No More Passports From Melrose In 2019
The Melrose Assessing Office will not administer passports as of Jan. 1, 2019.

MELROSE, MA — You will no longer be able to get a passport at City Hall as of next year. Mayor Gail Infurna announced on Thursday that the Melrose Assessing Office will not administer passports as of Jan. 1, 2019.
The reason appears to be what has been a shift in focus for the office, which Infurna's blog said has more resources invested in "has changed with higher amounts of property sales and permit activity. This translates into more inspection and more time needed from our Assessing Staff for assessing functions."
The following locations were noted in the announcement for anyone looking to get a passport.
