Officials to Conduct Alcohol Compliance Checks in Melrose

Alcohol compliance checks will be conducted at every licensed liquor outlet in Melrose over the course of the next three months in an effort to further prevent underage drinking.

The checks will come at random. They will be conducted to determine if there are any businesses illegally selling alcohol to those under the legal drinking age of 21.

The Melrose Liquor Licensing Commission, the Melrose Police Department, the Melrose Health Department, and the Melrose Substance Abuse Prevention Coalition will be conducting the checks.
