To the Editor:
We are writing this letter to express our support for Paul Brodeur for Mayor. We have known Paul for decades as a friend and public servant and have seen firsthand his dedication and commitment to our City. We believe he has the values, skill and experience Melrose needs to continue to be a vibrant, healthy community.
As President of the Board of Alderman and now as a State Representative, Paul has shown his ability to listen and find common ground among people with diverse perspectives. Partnering with Senator Lewis, he advocated for laws to help protect working families, bringing labor and business together to craft a plan that will help workers and business owners for years to come. And because of Paul’s commitment, today, we have what the Boston Globe calls the “best family and medical leave law in the country.”

During his time as State Representative, Paul has seen, learned from, and contributed to the best practices shared by communities all over our state. This uniquely positions him to meet the needs of our own city. He knows how we can increase our economic development while protecting the green space that makes our city such a gem. We can probably all agree that Melrose is a great place to live and grow a family. As Mayor, Paul’s knowledge and commitment will keep us moving forward with an understanding of why we all live here.
Please vote for Paul Brodeur for Mayor on September 17th.
