Photo Gallery: Melrose Baseball Rolls Past Stoneham

It was a perfect morning for baseball at Pine Banks Park on Friday, and the Melrose High baseball team made sure the first nice day of the week didn't go to waste as the Red Raiders piled it on against Stoneham in a 21-6 win. 

The Spartans and the Red Radiers battled it out for the first three innings, but then Melrose opened it up in the fourth with seven runs followed by a five-run sixth inning. 

Dan Riordan, Paul Ardizzoni and Brett Barbati each scored three runs for Melros e (5-1) and pitcher Ryan Hardy picked up the win. 

Up next for Melrose is a tough Middlesex League today against Reading.
