To begin this month of April we had to move our meeting date. Usually we meet the second Wednesday of every month, but this month we started early on the first Wednesday because some of the members would be heading for Pennsylvania to see a play.
If you have not heard of Sight and Sound I will tell you it is a 2000 seat theater in Ronks Pennsylvania,close to Lancaster.
This is a private family owned business that is based on ministry with business, and the performances they show every year are based on the bible.

The stage is a 300 foot panoramic stage that wraps around the audience. This year we saw"David" complete with scenes that stood up to three stories high; horses, sheep, camels and a variety of animals that were common just running loose in David's time.
The costumes and music took you back into a life long past. As David played his harp and gave us the 23rd Psalm that moved everyone.

We stayed overnight and got home tired the next day, but full of dreams of the past with beliefs and hopes for the future.
We are planning for next years trip to see..
On April 19th. we were happy to be able to see Sheryl Faye perform again. She did her performance this time as the great and wonderful Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Sheryl brought to life the the story of the American lawyer and jurist who served on the US Supreme Court from 1993 until her death in September 2020.
As usual Sheryl took us up close and into the life of this great woman. From her childhood to her rise to the Supreme Court overcoming prejudice for being a woman and a Jew. She fought battles along the way to lead the way for women to get into the legal profession and beyond.
On April 27th we were getting back to the Stoneham Theater, finally. We were excited to see Discover Mill Holmes Returns. This was a clever re-imagining of Sherlock Holmes through a feminist lens. Miss Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Dorothy Watson took us through a murder mystery with betrayal and social justice to find the culprit of the crime.
Live theater is back and we love it !
Our after theater meal was at the 99 restaurant in Stoneham. Convenient, great variety of good food,and time for us to talk about the mystery of the mystery.
On April 30th , To end the month on a great note, some of us attended the Melrose Arts Festival at Memorial Hall.
There were 30 plus local artists exhibiting their crafts and fine art. There was a variety of beautiful works from wood to a variety of painting , to jewelry and so much more.
It was a fun few hours to enjoy the local talent and see some wonderful works of arts.
