April has been a quiet month for our group.
As I have mentioned in the past ...If there is nothing exciting for us to pursue...We eat out ; and we did.
We enjoyed ourselves in Kitty's in North Reading, just a short ride when you have the time and the weather cooperates. We had lunch at Applebee's one day; and Grimby's another.

We drove to Salem New Hampshire to have lunch with one of our Red Hatters that lives in Dracut now at The Giving Tree Senior Living facility. Our lunch on this trip was at Yang Ming for a great Chinese meal.
Did I mention Jimmy's Steer house in Saugus?

I will also add that many of us have leftovers from some of the above mentioned eateries, for those days we do not want to eat out but we must eat.

On April 25th it was the Art Festival in Melrose where there were 45 vendors displaying and selling their wares.
Mona Sahney, an Acrylic landscape artist, had some beautiful pieces of art on display. I look and was excited about one piece that I planned on purchasing later. It had sold by the time I got back.

Jenne Rayburn had lovely handcrafted jewelry and wearable art pieces. She took the time to explain how she searches for neck chains and that she has to scrape and clean before using them ,and how a kiln is used for many of her beautiful pieces.

Lesley Keegan had on display some of her custom pottery. Lesley has a gallery right on Main St. in Melrose. Check it out.

There were cards, and wood carvings and even a section for kids works in the lower level.
Music filled the crowded hall; and it was a wonderful afternoon for all.

Not to neglect our lunch today.....We ate at Grill 438 in Stoneham. A hide-a-way place right off Main Street and it was great.

It looks like we only eat.....but we have fun just being together as Hatters.
Watch us go next month..Spring is finally here and we plan on enjoying every day.
