February 5th was the Chinese New Year and we could not pass that up. We have gone to the Mandarin restaurant in Reading for a few of their annual celebrations, and this year it was great fun also.
We had ten members for this party to enjoy the wonderful buffet and the camaraderie of being together. The day was warm for February and it seemed as if spring was just around the corner.
On February 22nd. It was out to the Stoneham theater to see “Keeping Faith Sisters of Story.”

Along with Rohina she is joined by Susan Stone, a Jewish storyteller, and Kim Schultz, who identifies as a Christian storyteller. They all came together and told stories from their faiths, with the goal of bringing people together and showing peace, curiosity and similarities among the faiths.

Lucia Thomas played violin, oud, and guitar to create an inspiring evening of entertainment and knowledge for all of us.
After the show dinner was at Bickford's in Stoneham. Always great food and the group getting together with comments on the play and the world, always makes a great Red Hat Day
February 27th and off to school for the group. This time our outing for lunch was at the Wakefield Vocational school where the food and the service is always good.
The students that serve and do kitchen duty are learning skills that they will be able to use later in life. The cost for lunch is less then $10.00, and there is pastry to buy for take out. A good few hours well spent with our friends is always a sweet treat.
