The first day of the year and six of us with Red Hats headed for the Chateau restaurant in Woburn Ma.
Great service, great food and fun jokes, and friendly conversation as we move forward to another wonderful Red Hat year.

January 3rd and off to a movie in Woburn to see the Stephen Spielberg movie "The Fabelmans." It was great to see a good movie without shooting and animations. A nice family movie that was based on the life of Stephen Spielberg.
The fun picture was a hasty one in front of yet another super hero.

Dinner was at Floramo's in Wakefield. Wonderful" fall of the bone" ribs; and there was also steak tips with salad and an appetizer of stuffed mushrooms. Great movie, outstanding food; and yet another wonderful Red Hat day.
Happy Chinese New Year...On January 22nd ten of us headed for the Flaming Grill in Malden for an excellent buffet. This is a branch of the larger restaurant in Revere, but this is better, a more reasonable amount of selections. We had a great table for the group and the restaurant was crowded with families celebrating the year of the Rabbit
Definitely a place to keep on our "go to places".

And ice cream too.

On January 25th. two of us found we had a free day. No grand kids visiting; no kids telling us that we should be acting our age, and no doctor's appointments . We decided to take ourselves out to lunch. Off we went to Kitty's in N. Reading for good food and a great waitress Cheryl Denardo.
We both had Escargot as an appetizer. One of the only places around that you can get this great delicacy. Are main meal's were Veal Marsala, and Fettuccine Alfredo. Outstanding and of course with take home boxes. We did get to meet a lovely group of seniors from an assisted living facility in Winchester; they were delighted that they were in the company of Red Hatters, even if we were only two. Back to Melrose before another storm hit and food in the freezer for another day.

This is our scheduled, or anytime outing for January. From here on all are plans will be "weather permitting". We do have things on our schedule for the upcoming months so keep reading the Patch and follow us as we continue to attempt " to act our age".
Be RED HAT happy...
