Almost spring...Almost
We started this month on a day that it did not snow. We headed for the Bradford Tavern in Rowley. It has been a few years since the Tavern has been open; and we were happy to get back to this wonderful place for lunch and conversation.
The Tremblay Family owned and operated the Tavern for ten years until Covid-19 hit them as many other restaurants.

They were forced to close and now the new owners have reopened the doors with the same charming atmosphere, and great food.
The service was outstanding, and the ability to maintain the rustic feeling made for a very lovely lunch for us.

Of course there were take home boxes.....
March 8th. was our regular monthly meeting at the Wakefield library. We welcomed a new member that has just move here from Texas. After the meeting we went to lunch at the 99 restaurant in Stoneham. this is always a good and frequent spot for us; the service is good and the food always great.
March 9th was a fun day for some of us as we spent time at the Regional Vocational school in Wakefield. Four of us splurged on a manicure and we were joined by another member for lunch. It was fun being amongst a school full of teenagers who were walking the halls as they changed classes. The manicures were done by some of the junior class and the lunches served by members of the freshman class. To see the courtesy of the future generation was enjoyable; as was the day.
The manicures were $10.00 and the lunches (without dessert) were $6.50 each. Check out the students with their red hats..
March 16th we headed for the Melrose senior Center to board busses to visit "The Art of the Brick" which is the world's most popular display of LEGO Art.
