We started this month on October 12th when we had our monthly meeting. We meet the 2nd Wednesday of each month at 9:30 am at the Wakefield Library. If you are thinking about joining us stop by.
Our discussions are always follow up and new ideas submitted by all and any members. Our October plans were set so we started on plans for November and December. Looks like a good holiday season coming up with new and old places to visit.
On October 16 some of the members headed to the Methuen Memorial Music Hall to see and hear a wonderful musical performance, "The Golden Age of Broadway." mountain; and so much more.

Of course our Red hats identified us as the friendly, adventurous sort and we had super front row seats. While their huge, world famous organ was not part of the performance, it was worth the trip just to see the spectacular wood carvings and pipes of the organ itself. All done by hand....but that's another story. The Singers were animated and certainly enjoyed performing together. :When You Walk Through a Storm," and "Dream the Impossible Dream" were specially moving. The concert was just right, the "Where do we eat?" We ended up at Good Thymes in Lowell--an old favorite of ours--cute waiter, cozy space and delicious food!
Also on October 16th. I represented the group as I headed to Alfred Maine. There is a wonderful Shaker Museum in the town and my mission was to see Sheryl Faye perform as Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

Mr. Lloyd Hunt is a member of the program committee at the museum and my friend Linda Aaskov is the museum curator.
Our group has attended many of Sheryl's performance of Historical Women and we have enjoyed every one.
Sheryl packs clothes, acoustics, and furniture whenever she come to put on her show. Her changes of clothes are amazing as he goes on with the show never skipping a beat.

October 26th and we headed for the greatest salad bar around,(if you consider Kittery Maine around).
The weather was WET....raining all the way up but...neither rain, nor snow etc. will keep a Red Hatter from a great meal.
The salad bar contains 60 plus great items, always fresh and easily handled by the customers. There is two kinds of lettuce, mushrooms, chick peas, brussels sprouts, potato and pasta salads. sprouts, beets, celery, 5 kinds of salad dressing and on and on.
Tables were moved to accommodate the eight of us and the service is always outstanding.
A great way to end a good month....
If some of the pictures have disappeared I think a witch or goblin took them; but don't be afraid...We will be back next month.
