It was July 29th and it was hot and humid at 7:30 in the morning. The temperature was 78 degrees as I headed out to see the sand sculptures in Revere. I thought I would be the only one at that time of day but not true. I got a parking spot as someone pulled out and joined a sidewalk of people ; some walking dogs, everyone with camera's facing the shore line.
This was the 19th year that the Annual International Sand Sculpture Festival has been in Revere.
The theme was "Celebrating 90 years of Kong" . King Kong, that is!

There were artists from Latvia, Poland, Belgium, Netherlands and even Canada and the United States. The artist were hoping to win their part of the $28,000.00 prize money, which will be decided on Sunday.
But today was Saturday, and the artists were still working on their beautiful pieces of works.

The sky was beautiful and clear, but overcast, and real photographers aimed their cameras skyward also.
I will leave you with a selection of the great artistic talents of these men and women from all around the world.
Remember these were all works in progress and still wonderful works of art.
I left after an hour and as I headed home the temperature had risen to 82 degrees and heading upward. I was happy to get home to the air-conditioning and looking forward to giving you all a small show.
