Right at Home Hosts DementiaLive™​ at Century Bank in Medford

Local in-home care agency, Right at Home Boston and North, is hosting DementiaLive® for health care professionals in the Greater Boston Area.

Program facilitators, Celeste Begley and Victoria Guskiewicz from Right at Home Boston and North are trained facilitators for DementiaLive®, and have put hundreds of care professionals through the training throughout the Commonwealth.

Dementia Live® is a high impact, dementia simulation experience that immerses participants into life with dementia, resulting in a deeper understanding of what it's like to live with cognitive impairment and sensory change. The aim of the program is to build awareness and understanding of the neurodegenerative disease.

The training helps participants to improve communication and decrease misunderstanding with patients and their families. It also advocates for person-centered care. Right at Home Boston and North introduced the training in 2016.
