MELROSE, MA - Saturday night's Melrose Symphony Orchestra's celebration was 100 years in the making. No expense was spared - it all went out off without a hitch.
Seemingly half the city - "more than 2,000 people," one cop estimated - took in a night of fun, music, light-up sabers, pizza, and a fantastic fireworks display.
The orchestra amazed - even when Mayor Dolan took over as guest conductor. But nothing beat the fireworks.
