Snowbound in Melrose

by Casa

Hello,

Many of you know me from my stories in the Melrose Mirror but I thought I should introduce myself to our new reader's in The Patch.

My name is Casa and I am a 14 pound, 17 year old Jack Russell Terrier. That's 119 in human years.

These past months have not been fun for me. Usually you can se me (and my parent) taking our daily walks here, in Melrose. You all know about the snow so I won't go into that but running in the back yard is just not the same as getting out to meet my friends on the streets.

Oh, sure I have a back yard to by my "business", but it is only a shoveled path along the back of the house. My parent has done her best in shoveling but there is still snow and the wind, WOW!. She has had to come out to help me up the stairs sometimes because my paws get frozen quickly while I am passing back and forth on the path.

I long to go on trips again as in the past. I have traveled all over the United States and parts of Canada comfortably seated on the lap of my other parent. She is no longer living with us but I still get my rides to Maine sitting on a great big pillow in the front passenger seat.

I really wish that the human season of spring will come soon, and that I can meet some of my new readers walking the streets of Melrose again.

Hasta otro dia....till another day

Casa
