Support Jackie Lavender Bird for Mayor

After researching all of the candidates and talking in person to Jackie Lavender Bird about her vision for Melrose, I am happy to be supporting her in her campaign for mayor.

She’s smart, experienced and receptive to hearing from community members about what could be even better about our already great city. She’s beyond qualified on paper but at this point in life, I trust my instincts about people most of all and after sitting with her and chatting, I can say with certainty that she has a great energy and would be a solid leader.
I was impressed by her passion for this city and her commitment to working with community members to ensure that everyone feels heard, whether they have been here for 2 years or 42 years.

Beyond just having broad ideas about revitalizing our downtown area and improving some of the great community events that we already have, Jackie laid out specific and detailed plans as to how she would achieve these goals.

It's one thing to have a vision as I believe that many of the candidates do but it's another to really know how to implement that vision and I believe that Jackie will get it done. I highly recommend that you consider giving her your vote!
