How things change yet remain the same all of our life. Same old, same old, from cradle to grave. When we were born, our parents hovered over us and took care of our every need, washing us and dressing us and feeding us, and maybe a nap or two. As we got older, we started to take care of our self, washing our self, dressing our self, feeding our self and hogging the bathroom with Mom yelling at us not to forget to brush our teeth. The same routine continued each morning as we aged with some add-ons like proper dressing for school or work, shaving and slicking the hair for the guys and the gals spending more time prettying up for the world out there to see. So whether we are 8 or 80, all of us have the same basic routine first thing in the morning, washing and dressing and eating. And the same basic routine each night, eating, undressing and sleeping, except that when you’re 80, you take your medications, and maybe milk and a nap like when you were a baby. Maybe, what goes around comes around, hovering over the parent who hovered over you as a baby, taking care of their every need as they age.
