Thoughts while shaving

by Jim Tierney

Do you suffer from Short Term Memory Loss? Maybe you don’t suffer, but you may think you have it sometimes. When you’re young and you forget, you think nothing of it and eventually remember or ask someone to remind you. When you get old and experience the same memory lapses, you think you are losing it, even though you eventually remember or you ask someone to remind you. Other memory lapse experiences make you wonder, like looking for your car in the parking lot after shopping that you find after a few minutes of pondering… after being half way up the stairs thinking “am I going up or coming down”…kidding…but you forgot what you went upstairs FOR? It’s only natural that you worry about your memory as you get older because your mind loses a step or two just like your body can’t do the things it did when you were younger. To slow down this aging process, you must keep your mind busy at all times with activities like reading, crossword puzzles, name that tune, and debating with your mate, siblings, and friends.
