But the green! The green pines stand majestically and proud across the lake; and the evergreens closer to the house seem to dance to the music of the wind.

It is not terrible that the brilliance of this season vanishes from view. It is the change in time, and coolness in the air that remains consistent as we go forward towards yet another season. This season that leads us towards yet another new year.

After a stormy, rain filled night; the sun is out.

The sky is multi shaded blues and greys, and the wind continues to move the leaves across the lawn and beach.

The blue jays dominate the feeders. On the bare branches of the trees and bushes the chickadees and nuthatches’ wait their turn.

The squirrels freely climb the feeder pole and hang aloft to get their share of food. (a new baffle will have to go up)

It is an average 40 degrees at 1pm and the day is pleasant and peaceful.
