VIDEO: Healy's Hat Trick Ices Wakefield
Red Raiders boys hockey gets a convincing win over Wakefield behind Blaise Healy's three scores.
The boys ice hockey Red Raiders drew first blood in the second minute and skated past Wakefield 6-1 on Saturday, at Kasabuski Rink in Saugus.
Blaise Healy scored two goals sandwiched around a Wakefield score in the first period on his way to a hat trick. The Red Raiders kept up the pressure in the final two periods to put away the Warriors.
Melrose Head Coach Jason Shipulski said after the game that his team was looking to get on track after a slow start to the season.

"It's not all smiles in the locker room. There's a lot of ice bags in there," Shipulski said. "I told them that's what it takes to win."
Melrose captain Matthew Burton and Matthew Clougherty added a goal each to give the Red Raiders a 4-1 advantage after two periods.

Healy banged home his third goal early in the third period and Devin Murphy got the final tally.
Melrose had near flawless goaltending from Kevin Marshall and a solid game from freshman defenseman John Botelho.
