Video: Melrose Winter Guard Performs at NESBA Competition
The New England Scholastic Band Association held a competition for Winter Guard and Winter Percussion squads on Saturday in Melrose.
On Saturday, the New England Scholastic Band Association held a competition at Melrose High School for the Winter Guard and Winter Percussion groups from various high schools throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island.
Richard Rigolini, the president of NESBA, explains what the Winter Guard is and how the groups will be judged.
The Melrose High School Winter Guard won first place in the Guard Scholastic Regional A with a score of 85.30. A complete list of scores can be found here and a sample of Melrose's performance can be viewed above.
