MILFORD, MA — A multi-agency investigation into the illegal sale of firearms in Milford led to the arrest of a 20-year-old man Tuesday, police said.
Robson De Souza, of Milford, is facing multiple gun-related charges following what officials described as a long-term investigation conducted by the Milford Police Department in partnership with the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section and ATF Worcester.
Shortly before 9 a.m. Tuesday, Massachusetts State Police and the Shrewsbury Police Department arrested De Souza, according to Milford police.
He was arraigned in Worcester Superior Court on charges including the sale/transfer of a large-capacity firearm, possession of a large-capacity firearm, possession of a large-capacity feeding device, carrying a firearm without a license, conspiracy, and possession of ammunition without an FID card.
“Once again, a great collaborative effort with multiple agencies to get illegal firearms out of our community,” Milford Police Chief Robert Tusino said in a statement on Tuesday.
Police did not release additional details about the investigation.
