MILFORD, MA — Mosquito control crews are scheduled to be in Milford on several dates in August to respond to resident concerns.

The Central Massachusetts Mosquito Control Project told the Milford Board of Health that personnel may be in town on Aug. 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 to respond to mosquito-related service requests.

The dates are tentative and may change due to weather, mosquito populations, mosquito virus activity, or special-event spraying, according to the notice. The program will shut down when cool nighttime temperatures become predominant in the area.

Residents may request service by calling the CMMCP office at 508-393-3055 between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday or by visiting www.cmmcp.org. Requests may lead to an application of mosquito insecticides in defined areas of town, including site-specific applications using truck-mounted equipment.

A daily spray schedule is posted after 3:30 p.m. on the CMMCP phone system and on the agency's website under the "2026 Spray Schedule" button.

Residents who want private property excluded from pesticide applications can find more information at www.cmmcp.org under the "No Spray Info" button, according to the notice.
