Boston Marathon Bombing's Effects on Milford: One Year Later

Tuesday marks the one-year anniversary of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings, the effects of which rippled throughout the Commonwealth, including Milford.

Milford officials will hold a tribute on Tuesday, April 15 to honor those affected by the bombings last year. The ceremony will be held from 2:30-3:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Milford First Congregational Church at 4 Congress St. 

Three people were killed and nearly 300 others were injured in the Boston Marathon bombings on April 15, 2013 in Boston's Back Bay. Here’s a look back at how the bombings affected Milford directly, one year later:

• Georgeann Compagnone, 64, was finishing her ninth Boston Marathon Monday when the explosions stopped the race. Find out what she said about the scene that day.
