'Celebrate Milford' Planned for Spring

Celebrate the culture, history and community diversity of Milford with this new town celebration.

MILFORD, MA -- On Sunday, May 14, Milford celebrates its rich culture, history and community diversity at the first ever Celebrate Milford event.

The celebration takes place in and around the Milford Town Park, including Memorial Hall, Stacey Middle School and the Milford Town Library, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Parade of Local Youth Organizations kicks it off, celebrating the local youth in our community and the organizations that make Milford unique, special and community spirit rich. The Kids Zone will be filled with bounce houses, inflatable fun, clowns and magicians, face painting and more.

Also, bring a blanket and lawn chair and enjoy local bands and musicians performing on the park pavilion while local artist showcase their talents throughout the park. Claflin Hill Symphony Orchestra performs upstairs in historic Memorial Hall while more local art will brighten the basement.

Events and lectures are being planned for the Milford Town Library while the REMAX hot air balloon will be providing birds-eye views of Milford across the street.

Caterers and food vendors serve up treats in the park, and food trucks line Congress Street with a wide variety of edible goodness. The beer garden features craft beer and wine tasting.
