Donation Supports American Legion's 'Troop Fan Mail'

MILFORD, MA — A recent donation from a Milford charity will help boost the spirits of U.S. troops serving overseas.

Thanks To Yanks founder Michael Shain recently donated $200 to American Legion Auxiliary 59, which will support Troop Fan Mail — an ongoing campaign to send cards to troops serving overseas.

Shain founded Thanks To Yanks, a non-political 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to support military members, veterans and their families, in 2006. The charity began as an annual tribute dinner to recognize the sacrifices military families endured and to honor the heroes and victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.
