Icy Parking Lot Sends Car Crashing Into Building In Milford

MILFORD, MA- Ice and snow on Sunday made for a dangerous combination on roads and in a parking lot in Milford. A man crashed into a building Sunday morning after his car slid in the parking lot.

Police got a call at 10:54 a.m. on Sunday about a car accident in a parking lot on Lincoln Street. When they arrived on scene, police found a van has crashed into the apartment building in front of the parking lot. The driver, a Springfield man, told police his car slid on ice and crashed into the building, according to the accident report.

The driver was not hurt and his car only suffered minor damage. The building on the other hand, suffered significant damage, according to the report. The building inspector came to the scene as well as the fire department.

No charges were filed.
