Bicyclist Hit By Car In Milford

MILFORD, MA- An accident on Beaver Street in Milford on Friday sent one bicyclist to the hospital.

Just before 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Milford police got a call about an accident on Beaver Street involving a bicyclist. A car hit a woman on her bike, both traveling on Beaver Street. The bicyclist, a California woman, was treated on scene but had to be taken to Milford Regional Medical Center for a possible hip injury, according to the accident report.

The driver of the car, a Franklin man, was headed north on Beaver Street when he said the bicyclist made a sharp left turn in front of him, causing him to crash into her, according to the report. A witness sitting in their car at a nearby stop sign told police the same story, according to the report.

No charges were filed.
