ICYMI: Marijuana Question On Ballot Reworded: Milford Votes
Milford has changed the wording of the ballot question, and is mailing new absentee ballots out to town residents.
MILFORD, MA—On Sept. 19, Milford voters will join several other communities to decide whether the town should adopt a moratorium on recreational marijuana establishments in town.
On Monday, Aug. 7, the Board of Selectmen voted to change the wording to the Town of Milford’s Marijuana Ban Ballot Question after the legislature and the Governor changed G.L. c. 94G.
Before the wording was changed, the town mailed out absentee ballots to all residents who requested an Absentee Ballot for all of 2017. New ballots are in the process of being printed (on salmon paper) and the Town Clerk’s Office will re-mail the new ballots as soon as they arrive in the next week to everyone who already received a ballot and to everyone who has requested one.

If you already voted on the first (yellow) ballot and mailed it in, you can re-vote. If you are satisfied with your vote, you do not need to vote again, the town asks that any unused ballots (yellow or salmon) be returned to the office as soon as possible. It is very important when returning the 2nd ballot (salmon) that it is returned in the white return envelope with the bright yellow “2nd Mailing” label on it.
All ballots need to be mailed or delivered to the Town Clerk’s Office by the close of polls (8PM) on Tuesday, Sept. 19.
