Lady Hawks Soar at Local Competition

The Milford U13 and U15 teams will advance to regional competition at DCU Center in Worcester.

Milford Youth Cheerleaders had a great day at their local competition, held on Oct. 22. Four teams at various age levels participated, including three that competed, and one that went as an exhibition team.

The U8 Team — which cheered for three Mighty Mite teams during football season — was coached by Alanna Juliano, assisted by Wendy Baglione and student helper, Devin MacLean. They were extremely happy to walk away with individual medals and a team participation trophy.

The U10 team — which cheered for fourth and fifth grade Milford Youth Football teams — was coached by Nicole Cheschi, assisted by Darcy Fallon, Erika Girard, and Chrissy Waldo and student coaches Kiley Fallon, Sabrina Carneiro, Victoria Chiarelli and Amber Waldrup.

The U13 team is coached by Charlene Capone, assisted by Ann Currie, Bobbi Jean Clemmer, and Pam Diranzonian with student coach, Sarah McTeirnan. The girls exhibited a difficult routine and placed first in their division. This win advances the team to the regional competition, to be held Nov. 27 at the DCU Center in Worcester.

The oldest team from Milford, the U15 team, is coached by Melissa Juliano, assisted by Lisa Caso, Marin Dolan and student coach Paige Philbin. This team took the floor near the end of the night and executed a great routine, placing first in their division also. The U15 team will also advance to regionals because of this win.
