Milford Alum Bryant Johnson Wins College Football Award
The Bentley University grad student will be honored by the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston on Jan. 12.

Former Scarlet Hawk Bryant Johnson has been named this year's recipient of the prestigious Swede Nelson Award, for Division II-III.
Johnson is a graduate student at Bentley University, working toward an MBA in accounting and financial planning. This is his fifth season with the team, and his third as the Falcons' captain.
Johnson also played on Milford's American Legion baseball team, and plans to pitch for Bentley this spring.

The Swede V. Nelson Award is the fourth oldest collegiate football award in the country, and is awarded by the Gridiron Club of Greater Boston to recognize New England atheletes who exemplify exceptional achievement in sportsmanship, achievement and athletics. The organization will present the awards at its annual Bob Whelan College Football Awards Night at the Waltham Westin on Jan. 12.
